A Muse Center
My dream is someday to start a community art center. A place were anyone can go and be creative and self expressive. I want to have all types of art forms available, from visual and performing arts to the written and culinary arts.
I think there has been a lack and loss of the traditional family values with the ever increasing force to work longer and harder - to have a better life. Within this process things have sometimes gotten lost. I want this to be away to regain some of those connections.
We find other activities in our communities such as with the YMCA, Marshal Arts, other Sports, and various clubs, spread out in our communities, with some limited to certain age groups.
I would like to bring artistic and creative endeavors together at a central location. A place where people can engage their minds, similar to the YMCA, while forming connections with others of all ages.
It would be nice if we could get people from different stages of their lives from preschoolers to the retired to work together to bring back some of those old and valued traditions.
We would have summer camps, after school programs, and creative workshops to be able to expand and encompass the community as a whole.
What you would find there would be galleries, classrooms, artist studios, foundries, a kitchen, and performing arts stage. It would be a living and working environment for people to explore the inner muse or just to visit and to learn from one another.
